自分にとってどうでもいいことなら、どんどん人を助けてあげればいいし、譲ればいいのです。それはいわば「世の中に貯金する」行為です。反対に、あちこちで自分の主張を通すのは「世の中に借金を作って歩くような生き方」です。 お金の借金は簡単に返せますが、人や社会への借りはなかなかゼロクリアできません。つまらないものを得るために、大事なものを失うのは馬鹿げています。しかもお金を借りている人は自分が借金をしていることを自覚していますが、あちこちで自分の主張が通っている人は、自分が借りを作っている、ということに無自覚です。“自覚のない借り”ほどやっかいなものはありません。
